Day 2-April 15: Baroque Treasures-Modica & Ragusa Ibla
After breakfast, depart Siracusa for Modica, a town celebrated for its stunning Baroque architecture and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your expert guide, stroll through its charming, narrow streets and discover the town’s rich history. Stop at one of Modica’s renowned chocolate shops for a tasting of its famous artisanal chocolate, a true delight for the senses.
Next, continue to Ragusa Ibla, the historic heart of Ragusa and another jewel of Sicilian Baroque. Accompanied by your guide, explore its enchanting streets, uncovering the stories behind over 50 magnificent churches and countless architectural masterpieces. Admire the grandeur of the Cathedral in Dome Square and wander through the Giardino Ibleo, the city’s oldest garden. Perched 383 meters above sea level, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sun-drenched countryside, perfect for unforgettable photos.

Day 3-April 16: Siracusa-Agrigento-Valley of the Temples
After breakfast and check-out, depart Siracusa and journey west to Agrigento, home to one of Sicily’s most remarkable archaeological treasures. Upon arrival, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the remains of
ancient Akragas rise among hundreds of almond trees. Praised by the ancient poet Pindar as “the most beautiful city of mortals,”
Agrigento was once one of the most prosperous Greek cities on the island.
​​Lunch will be your own, enjoy the freedom to savor Sicilian specialties at a local restaurant in Agrigento.
​After lunch, take a photo stop at Scala dei Turchi (Turkish Steps), a dazzling white limestone cliff overlooking the sea. Shaped by
centuries of wind and rain, this natural staircase gleams in the sunlight and earned its name from the pirates and Saracens who
once sought refuge here. A perfect moment for memorable photos.

Day 4-April 17: Marsala & The Salt Route
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then check out and depart for the coastal city of Marsala, where Giuseppe Garibaldi landed in May 1860, marking a defining moment in Italian unification.
Marsala is a radiant Mediterranean city poised between sea and land, a place of unforgettable colors—bright yellow, intense blue, strong red, dazzling white, and natural green. Bathed in golden light, it embodies Sicily’s rich heritage and timeless charm. Continue along the scenic Salt Route, one of Sicily’s most poetic landscapes. The salt pans, glistening under the Mediterranean sun, mirror the sky in hues of gold, pink, and sapphire. Ancient windmills, their blades gently turning in the breeze, stand as silent guardians of a centuries-old tradition.

Day 5-April 18: Palermo-Monreale

Half-day guided tour of Palermo, visiting the Arab-Norman Cathedral, Martorana Church, Palatine Chapel, Teatro Massimo, and the striking Pretoria Fountain. Explore one of Palermo’s lively historic markets, a true feast for the senses, filled with colorful stalls, the aroma of fresh seafood, spices, and street food. Savor local specialties during a street food tasting, immersing yourself in the city’s flavors and energy. In the afternoon, continue to Monreale for a 2-hour guided visit of its magnificent Norman Cathedral with golden mosaics and intricate marble decorations.

Day 6-April 19: Cefalu-Taormina

Day 7-April 20: Mount Etna & Sicilian Flavors
​Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe (c. 3,350 m) and one of the largest and most active in the world, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its regional park protects 59,000 hectares of unique geology, flora and fauna, villages, farms, and traditional crafts such as forestry, bee-keeping, wine-making, stonework, and carpentry.

Enjoy stunning landscapes on the way to Rifugio Sapienza and explore the Crateri Silvestri, small volcanic cones now inactive, surrounded by ancient lava flows. From here, enjoy breathtaking views across Sicily, the Aeolian Islands, and Calabria.

Next, visit a local beekeeping company, learning about traditional honey production and sampling fresh Sicilian honey.

At lunchtime, visit a winery on the slopes of Mount Etna and enjoy a wine tasting paired with typical Sicilian dishes.
Return to Hotel Montetauro in Taormina. The rest of the day is free for leisure. Dinner on own and overnight.​
Day 8-April 21: Coastal Beauty & Catania's Flavors
Breakfast and check out of the hotel. Begin the day with a 2-hour boat tour along the coast of Taormina, where turquoise waters meet dramatic cliffs.

Travel to Catania, a lively city at the foot of Mount Etna. Enjoy a 2-hour walking tour, including a tasting of Sicilian "granita and brioche".
